God Destroyed Satan’s Plan

Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this:
That power belongs to God.
(Ps. 62:11)

That Eventful Evening

God destroys Satan’s plan, because, to him, we are of exceedingly high value. I just happened to have missed the mid-day appointment; a NYPD squad car just happened on the eventful evening to be parked almost at the entrance of the church, we just happened to have made another appointment to meet that eventful evening. What is this all about? Well please allow me to tell you! It was the evening God destroyed Satan’s plan of destruction launched against a broken and emotionally- tired young man.

Satan Tried to Destroy a Life

A mother whose son had been having psychological problems brought him to me for counseling. In asking questions to determine the specificity of his problem, I noted that the young man seemed ‘out of it” and he could not focus. When I asked if he had taken any of his psychotic medication, suddenly he became very agitated. He then jumped up from his chair; began pacing the room and stating that the room was too hot that he needed air. With the assistance of his mother, we moved the counseling session to the staircase located in the foyer of the church. There he became even more disoriented and drowsy. I felt in my spirit, as God impressed upon my mind, that this young man had taken an overdose of his medication. Within seconds of that word from God, the young man was completely unconscious. I told the mother to call 911 because I am afraid he has taken an overdose.
At Police's command an Ambulance arrived in 3 minutes

Emergency Technicians worked fro 10 to 15 minutes
Emergency Technicians worked fro 10 to 15 minutes

God Stopped Satan Dead in His Tracks

The mother ran out of the building; she called out to the police officers who were stationed just a few feet away. The Police Officers and I prompted the mother to call home to her husband. We needed to determine how much medication remained in the bottle, which she said was filled earlier that day. Her husband said “1” pill was left in the bottle. The officers quickly assessed the situation, called ambulance service which showed up in 3 minutes. This was a miracle;f or where we were located ambulances often show up in half an hour not in 3 minutes. For a period of 10 to 15 minutes, Emergency Technicians worked on the unconscious young man before they were able to transport him to the hospital. This young man was/is of such great value to God that our Lord, himself, orchestrated everything to have all in place to save one life! God destroyed the Satan’s weapon to cause this man to commit suicide. God destroyed and stopped Satan’s plan of destruction dead in its tracks!

Jesus crushed Satan's plans to destroy a life
Jesus crushed Satan’s plans to destroy a life

God Orchestrated Movements to Save a Life

Two days later, when the young man came out of unconsciousness, he told his physicians that he had taken 20 pills of his psychotic medication. Let me tell you Saints of the goodness of God, if that mother had kept the appointment; her son would have slept his life away right under her very eyes. If the police were not assigned on that night to stand in-front of our church EMT would not have arrived in 3 minutes, and a life would have been lost. If the Lord had not alerted me to the fact that the young man may have taken an overdose, we would have been blinded into thinking that he was just very tired, may have delayed seeing the need to cal 911 and a life would have been lost. This young man was/is of such great value to God that our Lord himself orchestrated everything to have all in place to save a life! God destroyed the Satan’s weapon to cause this man to commit suicide. God destroyed and stopped Satan’s plan of destruction dead in its tracks!

Celebrating Life, not Mourning at a Funeral

Right now we are celebrating a life saved
Right now we are celebrating a life saved

Our God worked all things together for God for this young man and his mother. Right now we are celebrating a life saved and not planning the funeral of a life lost – through suicide. You see Satan wanted this young man to destroy his life; but many people have been praying for him and praying for his mother. Eyebrow Burners please know that that is the power of prayer. God moved even the NYPD to station their men to be in the right place, on the right day, at the right time to help save the life of one of his broken lambs. Some of you may be discouraged today, tired of fighting the same battle. You may be ill, feel broken or emotionally weak. You may see yourself as feeble, frail and poor. But you know this, do not allow Satan to lie to you or convince you that you are of no value to anyone. Look what God did for this young man! What amazed us most was the fact that he does not even remember one iota of what took place. But this we do know, God stood in the gap for him. Our Lord, ahead of time, had everything arranged to sabotage Satan’s plot against this young man. This young man was/is of such great value to God that our Lord himself orchestrated everything to have all in place to save his life! God destroyed the Satan’s weapon to cause this man to commit suicide. God destroyed and stopped Satan’s plan of destruction dead in its tracks!

The Young man Lives: Satan Was Defeated

God Destroyed Satan’s Plan

Nate & His Mother Valarie are Celebrating God's Victory
Nate & His Mother Valarie are Celebrating God’s Victory

read a quote recently which said “Satan said ‘I am going to destroy that Christian’ and Jesus replied “over my dead body’. ” Eyebrow Burners remember there is power in the name of Jesus, to break every chain to annihilate every stronghold and pulverize every plan of Satan. Greater is He that is within us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4); I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 3:13). Eyebrow Burners, our God is not weak. Our God is almighty; our God is all powerful; our God is omnipotent! Saints, the power of God is available to every person who has taken Christ as his Savior and Lord. God destroyed Satan’s weapon to cause this man to commit suicide. We are celebrating a life saved not mourning at a funeral for a life taken! God destroyed and stopped Satan’s plan of destruction dead in its tracks!! Celebrate with us!

There is power in the name of Jesus there is power in the name of Jesus, there is power in then name of Jesus to break every chain; break every chain; break every chain. LISTEN TO THIS POWERFUL WORSHIP SONG

DBM Ministry Report April – May 2014

What God has done through you because you gave and you prayed!

You had prayed for Christ Community Church Women’s Retreat. Our prayer points were:

  • Pray for a no nonsense powerful moving of the Spirit of God
  • Pray for souls to be saved & for Christians to be set on fire anew for Jesus Christ
  • Pray that all would leave more in love with their Lord than before

God answered your prayer.  Read on to see all that our Lord had done through this ministry outreach and others.

March 23- New life Redemption Church (Brooklyn, NY):

As a new church plant I was about to preach a sermon the premise of which was to encourage the saints of NLRC.  However I am sure you are familiar with the scripture verse which says that Man may make his plans but God orders his steps (Prov. 16:9). The Lord ordered my steps when he, our Lord, led me to put aside the sermon I had had in mind to preach. he instead lead me  to preach another I had preached several weeks prior to March 23, 2014. He directed me to the message on The Power of God’s Presence taken from 1 Samuel 4:5:1-12. The basic theme of this message was a reminder to all that, no one can manipulate, control or defeat the power of God. There is not a man, spirit or beast that can best God in a battle. But what we do know is that even when we are disobedient to God that he will be gracious enough to fight for us. As we live this Christian life we may lose a battle but God will win the war for us.

On the left Rev. Justin Emineke Pastor of New Life Redemption Church

The church was greatly encouraged.  Those present said that the message as challenging as it was, was truly what they needed to hear.  Had I not obeyed God, I would have preached what I would have wanted to preach but God’s people would not have been blessed.

March 30: 8.30 Service–Clarendon Road Church (Brooklyn, NY):

In Celebrating Women’s Month, I preached on Women of Substance: Hannah (1 Samuel 1:21- 28)- A woman who did the impossible. The Widow of Zerapath (1 Kings 17:7-16)- A woman who gave it all. Deborah (Judges 4:1-9)- A woman who led in humility.  The message began by showing that a woman of substance is an exceptional woman. One within whom God saw a heart that he could use to bring about his work here in earth.

Christ Community Church Women’s Retreat (Quarryville, PA):

Theme was the Bride of Christ: A Love that Costs taken from Hosea 2.

  • Highlight of the weekend a woman accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior

Hosea 2. April 11 Session 1:- The Rehearsal- Message:  Our Lord How Jesus Loves (Hosea 2:14; John 3:16) We began by saying there cannot be a rehearsal without a courtship and an agreement to marry usually. From Hosea we saw that God used the marriage of his prophet Hosea to Gomer, a prostitute, as a visual lesson of Israel’s rebellion and disobedience in their relation with Him, their God. Hosea 2:14 says “I am now going to allure her”. The message here showed that despite Israel’s rejection and rebellion God still pursued his beloved Israel. We saw that he would do his best to woo Israel back to him. He does the same for us. God runs after us to call us back unto Him even though we are the guilty party. Did he not chase after Adam and Eve when they sinned in the Garden? John 3:16 shows his love for us that he gave his son to die for us all so that we would not perish but would have eternal life. God showed his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). That is the depth of his love for us. Your response is to say yes to all that he has done and take him as your Savior.

Even to a Rebellious People God Would Vow His Best
Even to a Rebellious People God Would Vow His Best

April 12 Session 2:- The Ceremony- Message:  Our Lord Vows His Best (Hosea 2:19-22)

At the ceremony both parties would vow their respective commitment to each other. In this case, God took it upon himself to vow his best to Israel. In Hosea 19,20a he presents to Israel all items of his dowry. Here again God takes the initiative, Israel did nothing God alone pleads the vow.  As a group we then looked at Genesis 15: 17 where God took the full responsibility of the covenant between himself and Abram.  Saints even when we forsake God he not only pursues us, he vows his best to us. He does it to woo us away from evil and back unto the side of blessing.

April 12 Session 3:- The Reception- Message:  Our Lord Vows Yearns For Our Best (Hosea 2: 23b)

At the wedding reception one of the main events is the first dance of bride and the groom. It is where one truly sees the depth of  love or the lack of love the couple has for each other.  The kind of dance the Lord wants with us is one wherein no one else matters but him, the person with whom one is dancing. After the Lord had laid his heart bare before Israel it was now Israel’s turn to reciprocate to make a vow back unto the Lord. All God asked is that Israel would say “You are my God”. All God wants from any of us is that we would chose him as our God. Saints, we need to get  out of the mess in which we are living, get way from destructive lifestyles, turn away from things that are destroying us and declare I leave it all behind and choose God and boldly say You are my God. Burner your life is wonderful! Do not allow that lying wretch Satan to blind your eyes to the right-now-blessing of God in your life.

At the reception one shows to the world our love for the one chosen
At the reception one shows to the world our love for the one chosen

Session 3:- The Honeymoon or The Day After- Message:  Our Lord Offers Endless Hope (Hosea 2:15)

Despite all Israel had done, God graciously gives Israel an idea of what life would be should they choose him as their God. He said that He would make the valley of Achor a door of Hope. The valley of Achor (Joshua 7:1-26) was the place where Achan came to judgment because of the sin which brought defeat to Israel. Now in Hosea, God said to Israel that he will take their trouble and turned to a thing of hope.  Whatever troubles which may be in our lives, or may come to us, should we turn to God or come back to him he can in some way graciously turn that trouble into a thing of hope. The greatest hope God offers is that this world is not our home. There is coming a day when we will stand at this feet and will see him in all of his glory. That is our hope! Revelation 21:3b, 4 says “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” That is our Hope!

April 18: Clarendon Road Church (Brooklyn, NY)

Seventh Last Word… Father into Your hands I commit My Spirit (Luke 23:46).

Christ used his last dying breath to call out to the Father in a closing monument of intimacy.  Previously, as he was taking upon himself the sins of the world, He cried out “My God, My God why have you forsaken me:” In this section he used a form of address that showed God as distant, the one who is the creator and judge of the universe. But with his last breath Christ called out to the Father using a word which shows intimacy. The time of judgment had passed now the one once forsaken for your sin and mine was about to be reunited with the Father. The word Father which in the Greek is translated “pater” in the Hebrew “abba”.  The one who never sinned yet he suffered horribly for us, he has now made a way for all to be reconciled to God. Because of what he has done, we too can call the creator, the most holy God; we can call him Father, Pater, Abba, Papa.

How Much Am I Worth?

You will not Amount to Anything!

How much are you worth? “You will not amount to anything. These words were said to a young man by both his father and his mother. Today this young man is in the closing years of his life, yet those words still haunt him. Everything he does, everything he accomplishes he measures by those words. He would often say “if my parents could only see me now; if they could only see what I have accomplished”! You see Saints, whatever he did was never good enough because he could not figure out what his parents’ standards were. If he came home with an A Grade in all subjects except one, they would focus upon the one with lower the grade. One day he brought home an A grade in all subjects and he was so excited. But upon presenting his report card his parents reply was “on your last exam you should have scored grade of 100 not a 98”! He said, “There were times I actually felt worthless; I felt I was not worth anything as if I had no value”.
He said, at times I felt worthless
He said, at times I felt worthless

Words Can Cripple But…

As I pondered his story I wondered about others. How many people today live their life almost as an emotional cripple, because of some negative word spoken or a negative situation encountered? How many persons measure their accomplishments against the words once said or the situation that once impacted their lives? Eyebrow burners, yes the words of parents, teachers and those close to us can affect and shape our outlook on life, only if we allow them. Yes your parents gave birth to you but it is God who is your Creator; your teachers may have said all manner of things over you but it is God who is their Creator; situations may have devastated you but it is God who is Master over all. What man, what situation what power is there that is any match for our God? Let the naysayers say what they want. We know that our God, he is mighty one; the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords; the high and holy one: He is our God. It is from our Lord that we receive our value and not from man! As powerful as word can be the Word of God is more powerful to the pulling down of strongholds.

Words Can Cripple But the Word of God Breaks Strongholds
Words Can Cripple But the Word of God Breaks Strongholds

The Word of God Pulls Down Strongholds

Why do I say this; I say it because the Bible tells us that despite what anyone may say we are a people of exceptionally high value. If you do not believe me then read the following bible verses:

Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness
Genesis 5:1
This is the written account of Adam’s family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God
Genesis 9:6
“Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind.
Psalm 139:13, 14, 17
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!”
Ephesians 2: 10
For we are God’s masterpiece; He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (New Living Translation)
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Ephesians 1:13
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit (English Standard Version)

I Am Worth What?

If that is not enough to encourage you then read on and be encouraged to a higher level. Do you know your eyes balls are worth $1,525; your scalp is worth $607; your skull and teeth are worth $1,200; your bone marrow at 23,000 per gram is worth in total $23 million; your DNA is worth $9.7 million; your antibodies are worth $7.3 million; 1 lung is worth $116,400; your liver is worth $157,000; your kidney is worth $263,000 and your heart is worth $119,000. Some in the medical community estimates the human body to be valued at $46 million dollars. This figure is across the board; for whether you are rich or poor, tall or short, whatever your size or race you are valued at $46 million dollars and your value goes up with inflation. You are highly valued; you are a person of worth to the amount of 46 million dollars! (Adbusters.org; discovery.com; wikianswers)

Eyebrow burners there is more; if reading the bible verses did not encourage you; if knowing your body is worth 46 million dollars does not float your boat then maybe this will. You are of such great value, of such great worth and you are so greatly loved that God the Son left the pristine holiness of heaven came down to a filth-stained sinned-filled world. He stretched out his arms on the Cross and died for you. Even when you may not have known about him or cared for him, even when you were a sinner, He loved you so much he died for you. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”. If you were of such great value to Christ as a sinner, how much more are you valued now that you have taken Him as Savior? John 1:12 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”. Come on Eyebrow burners I pray that you get this; that you grasp how deep and how wide God love is for you. How much are you worth? You are worth the life of the Son of God-Jesus the Christ.

How Much Am I Really Worth?

Get Up and Declare Your Worth in the Lord
Get Up and Declare Your Worth in the Lord

Are you feeling worthless, discouraged, abandoned, and rejected? Then remember the great price paid for you on Resurrection Sunday. Please remember that Jesus the Christ came to earth to suffer for you; to walk the road of agony for you; to be flogged till his flesh hung in shreds for you; to be beaten upon his head for you; to be nailed on the cross for you; to take sins upon himself for you, and to die for you. Why did he do it? He did it, because, to him, you were and are worth it and are a person of great valuable. I want to stand where you are right at this moment and declare the following out loud.

  • Parents may not value me, teachers may ridicule me; people reject me but I know this: Jesus died for me, I am worth at least 46 million dollars ; I am fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. Whether I win or lose, Jesus died for me; whether I have success or failure, Jesus died for me; whether I am praise or rejected, Jesus died for me, whether I am loved or hated, Jesus died for me, whether I am accepted or ridiculed Jesus died for me. I am worth the life of my Savior; he died for me. Whatever goes on I know I am worth 46 million dollars; I am fearfully and wonderfully made; I am sealed with the Spirit of God! That is what I am worth.
"He paid it all for Me! I am worth it!
“He paid it all for Me! I am worth it!

Eyebrow burners celebrate Resurrection Sunday: Jesus died and rose from the dead for me because I am worth it. How much am I worth? I am worth Jesus the Christ, because He died for me!

Are You True to God? Serve Him on His terms

Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.  . . And if the ear
should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,”
it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. . .
As it is, there are many parts, but one body. . .
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored,
every part rejoices with it. (1 Corinthians 12:14,16,20,26)

Two Brooms and A Red Carpet

Are you true to God? Then serve Him on His terms. On a rack stood two brooms, one was brand spanking new.  All of its bristles were in place, standing up straight as an arrow and showing very little wear and tear. Next to that broom on that rack stood another broom. There was no question that it was old.  Because of years of use, every bristle of the old broom was each bent in all directions except straight. Both brooms leaned side by side in place on the rack.

The old broom cleaned deep into the fibers of the carpet.

The old broom cleaned deep into the fibers of the carpet.  A red carpet which lined the Church hallway was speckled with dried salt tracked in from the snowy walkways near the building. The vacuum was in a place unbeknownst to me so I grabbed the new broom, the dust pan and began to clean the specks of salt which were ground into the carpet. As I swept and swept, I quickly realized that the new broom could only move surface specks. The deep ground in speck remained fixed; not one budged. Out of desperation, I took the old broom to give it a try. With just two strokes that old broom moved not only the surface salt but the deep ground in ones as well.

Two Brooms in One-But-Differing-Function

Because of years of wear and tear the bristles of the old broom splayed in every direction possible. Because the of  multi-directional movements of this broom, in one swoosh the broom pushed, all at the same time, the fibers of the carpet in different directions.  By doing so the old broom would release the specks of salt held at the base of the fibers, something the new broom could not do.  When finished the carpet did not show one speck of salt but up against the wall and in the corners salt had collected there. Because of splayed bristles, the old broom could not reach the corners or up against the wall. I putdown the old broom and took up new broom with its pristine and straight bristles. With just two strokes those new bristles of the new broom moved salt crystals away from the corners and away from  the wall. You see Eyebrow Burners, each broom had its function and together they accomplished a perfect job.

The New Broom Cleaned Against The Wall & In The Corners

God Will Use Us As He So Chooses

What was the teaching the Lord gave me as I swept the hallway? Our Lord used this lesson to remind me that each follower of Jesus Christ has a place in his kingdom. Whether the believer in Jesus Christ is an older Christian or new;  a prophet or a priest;  the preacher or the janitor;  a teacher or a student; clergy or laity; the healthy or the infirmed; the strong or the weak; the wealthy or the poor; the citizen or the foreigner  everyone has a place in the kingdom of God.  Although each task may be different, the Lord our God has put a seed of his glory, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, within each believer. That indwelling of the Spirit expresses itself in a spiritual gift to be used in the Kingdom of God. Our Lord placed that gift within us not for our glory but for his, and placed it within us to touch the world for Christ.  There are too many believers in the kingdom of our Lord and Christ, who do not value the particular gift the Lord has placed within them. As a result we find people sweeping where they are not effective, ministering in places where they were not called, or serving where passion never was.

Doing God's Work on God's Terms is Obedience: Abraham about to Sacrifice Isaac
Doing God’s Work on God’s Terms is Obedience: Abraham about to Sacrifice Isaac

Are You True To God? Then Serve Him On His Terms!

Eyebrow Burners, every one of us has a gift that the Lord has placed within your hand. Spend time in his presence, seek his face and HE will make it clear what that gift would be. All I ask of you is that you would be prepared for his answer, because It may not be the answer you are hoping to receive. The test of a true disciple, a true follower of Jesus Christ is one who would obey without question whatever our Lord asks of us. Abraham obeyed without question; without hesitation; without making excuses; without looking at his neighbor and their calling. He heard and he immediately obeyed as he left his homeland to go to a place he did not know (Genesis 12: 1-4); he sent his son Ishmael away(Genesis 21:8-21) and he was obedient to the point of almost sacrificing his son Isaac (Genesis 22). Abraham was always true to God and he served God on God’s terms. Eyebrow Burners, you must take into serious account that our God is Sovereign, and as such he will use us as He chooses. He will do so without needing to ask our permission. He created us. Therefore he knows us best and knows what is his best us.

Many Different Hands at Different Tasks Builds God's Kingdom

Many Different Hands at Different Tasks Builds God’s Kingdom

The old broom preformed a function the new broom could not; the new broom did what the old broom could not. Used together but differently a perfect job was done. When we allow the Lord to use us according to his will, and when the church allows the Saints to be used as God ordained, then we will see that everyone working in their differing roles will accomplish the perfect will of God. Are you true to God? Then serve him on his terms!
